Well when they vote their "religious conscience" they are voting in such a way that they are trying to dictate what someone they have never met, and never will, can and cannot do.

Why in the fucking world does a Man, or Woman in East Jumbumfuck, Alabama care if two gays marry in West Jumbumfuck, Washington? Or if a fetus is aborted by a woman in NeverEverWillSeeYou, Pennsylvania?

Especially since the Candidate that they tie their conscience too, is never ever going to do anything in relation to those and other issues, but is simply taking advantage of them for their own agendas?

If they don't want gay marriage ... then they shouldn't marry someone of their same sex. If they don't want to have an abortion ... well, here's a novel idea don't.

And if they have a problem with their children growing up around these elements, shouldn't it be their responsibility to raise them properly in their conscience? By being not tolerant to those around you, but instead accepting other's differences?

But no. This is why a lot of, and there is no other way to say this (or perhaps I don't fail into the category I am about to write about, haha), people of faith stop outwardly practicing their religion because they look around at what "their" church is spewing out and realize that it has become filled with hate for those outside of their respective sect, and they have the intellect to think for themselves and make a rational judgment to not blindly follow whatever someone else tells them under the guise of coming from G-d.

Most of those people still are religious, they do not wear it on their sleeves, think about the actual real issues that concern the country they live in when elections come around, and usually have an IQ to reflect as such.

I can see why I never really get into these threads, because I just type and type, and don't have time to read above to see if it made sense, haha.
