we did well, our family and friends were beyond generous.
asking for donations to a "newly wed fund" is the way to go. As we didn't really want or need a toaster, bread bin, more cutlery and bedding we asked for cashola and used it to buy a monster sized bed, a wii and go for a week in Spain.
