Ok, first things first. Its our wedding, you can do what you want because its your big day. Going a traditional or cheap ass template route need not be the way to go and by all means you can do something that
    a: is different and
b: reflects both your and your fiance's personality

However, this can be done in an elegant and tasteful way. I think that the first draft is too rough, the type clashes with each other, the hirearchy of information is off and it just feels a little gimmicky to me.

My friend is getting married and he sent out magnets, mine is up top of the extractor fan in my kitchen. It is small, illegible and tacky, but its up there should he ever visit. Is it going to remind me of the date of his wedding? No, so why add an extra cost to what is already going to be a pricey event?

Take the money you would have spent on that and put it towards a better paper stock for the invites, or put it towards the bar (if you're having one), another bottle of champagne for the toast etc etc.

Oh and congratulations on the marriage, don't take my comments too harshly.
