also, thx ribit. I have a mnemonic for this prepos: "ON" is material and stands for something on the SURFACE of, and "IN" stands for something INSIDE the object. I just wasn't sure how it works when it relates to abstract things such as "days" but ON a second thought I think you cannot be outside a day. so, yeah, duhs to me thk you!
