  Granite Gear makes agreat ultralight pack. So does Gregory.
  I currently use a Granite Gear Numbus Meridian for outback camping.

  For research, I highly recommend Backpacker.com and Outside magazine. Check their editor picks for names, review, and then check what others are saying online.

  • BTW,stay away from shoulder straps that are cushy. In the long run, this will crimp your shoulders.jaylarson
