you only need a grand, if you go as a memebr of staff. they have openings like expidition artist or expidition photographer, which I could do.I have a bit of savings, to cover my morgage.
I am seriously concidering it, but for a while I have concidered getting a full time job for a charity. At the company I work for now we have done quite a bit of charity stuff, and I've won awards from it, and I really enjoyed doing it.
Id love to get a job as communications director for the NSPCC or something like that
