About the finders, if you want waist-level finders, you should just buy an old Rolleiflex.
Those viewfinders you are looking at will just position the camera awkwardly on your solar plexus, while you crane you neck to look through the finder.
They really are for things like copy stands, and microphotography.
I don't think they'd be good for trying out waist-level viewfinders. But, hell, you're in NY. Just go down to B&H and try one out and see what you think.
