yup one search on the problem, and i found a bunch of people complaining about the update, hence i won't be installing it

although do take into consideration that the apple forum is where 100s of thousands of people come to complain about very specific problems and sometimes the situation appears to be worse than it really is.
nobody goes to the forum to say "yes the security update x.x.x worked great for me - no problem".. know what i mean? it sometimes acts as a nasty Apple bitching board.
