In that case you want to set up a web survey that asks users to rate their experience on various aspects of the task. For example:

Task: Send an email to customer support. When you feel you have finished this task continue to the next page. If you come to a point where you feel this task cannot be accomplished, continue to the next page.

    Next Page:

    1. Do you feel the task was successfully completed? Why or why not?

    Yes or no

    2. What in particular indicated that you had finished the task?

    Text entry

    3. How easy do you feel this task was to finish?

    1 - 10

From this point you could have the user rate various parts of the task, user experience, design, overall site, code, etc. That would give you measureable metrics you could compile and show averages or trends.
