    no dude, not even close. he said it well, but any of the couriers you see showed up to the velodrome they 1) would not be allowed to ride, 2) they would be at a huge disadvantage if they did due to geometry, strength, weight, etc.

    i have ridden, raced on the track quite a bit and the two are different very much.

    i am actually suprised you are taking the luddite stance you are man on this issue. to not like them is one thing, but to cut them down because so is just wrong.

    zen? most definitely.

    brakes stop 'better'? not quite, and for the reasons of zen; you are considering so many other things simultaniously when on a fixed gear ride, becomes somewhat zen.
