I think this video is highly pertinent
my 2 cents: I don't see all the fuss. Blanka seems to put together these exhhibitions quite often to promote new products, it's usually the same group of studios, but that''s because they have a working relationship.
I don't think that the idea behind this project is very good though, it smacks of 'greenwash'

Producing bags like this is fine, but why print catalogues etc. Plus there are already 1000s of canvas bags out there, the issue is not making more bags but alerting the public to using them, or campaigning supermarkets to stop giving away free plastic bags.
As communications designers and specialists we should be concentrating on get a message out there effectively, not promoting more 'stuff' for people to buy and discard.
I bought a zip up bag from the supermarket that I take with me at lunchtimes and it fits in my pocket and unzips to full size, so I don't take plastic bags anymore.
