Government works if there is oversight and accountability.
What's the one thing Republicans do when they get into office?
Remove oversight and accountability. Then they say "See, government is broken!"
What's the one thing that destroys any government? Corruption.
What's the first thing the Republicans do when they get into office?
Try to take advantage of every financial big player and bring corruption to the highest levels. (See K Street Project)
Then they cheekily argue about how corrupt government is.
Wash. Repeat.
Nixon did it. Reagen Did it. Bush did it. Bush W. did it.
