    Yeah, they just issued themselves bonds in the SS Trust Fund. Bush was spending the surplus since his first year. Nobody seemed to care when he altered the tax exemptions and paid everyone 300 bucks while he passed the "The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001" which was basically just a way to dispense with Social Security all together by encouraging 401 investment in the middle and lower class.

    And this is why we should entrust them with more control over our finances and our lives. Point well taken. I think I'm going to move to a different country.
