Arthur, I'm looking to move in the spring, probably in the beginning of April. I'm thinking of moving to Hawthorne. What are your thoughts?

(Oct 11 07, 09:03)Hawthorne's a fun area. Def has a more laid-back vibe, almost hippyish at times, but not in a bad way. It has a good community feel to it and an overall younger crowd - I'd guess 20's and 30's. Are you looking to buy or rent?
I live in Laurelhurst, just a half mile or so north of Hawthorne. There are lots of great areas around.
Someone mentioned the restaurant scene - which is truly awesome. There's a culinary revolution going on here at the moment and it's terrific.
