  Not sure, but if it happened to me, I'd try deleting my prefs file (the workspaces bit in particular).

  Back it up first, obviously.

  In windows, it's in
  C:\Documents and settings
  \YourProfile\Application Data
  \Adobe\Adobe [Ill.CS2.Set]
  \Workspaces
