That's what some people do with the MT badge, it's not part of your page when you upload it to their servers or anything, you have to add it yourself.
I don't see any reason anyone would do it unless they're getting free hosting or being paid.
I'm with mt and I like the service and space and the options you get but the servers are slow on GS compared to many hosts.
