Don't take it too the letter mate, those books are there to infrom you, time has moved on since the days of letterpress, phototype setting, yes it still very important to understand how you can formulate structure and space, but computers can equate for the insane level of perfection required in design back in the day!
I mean does anyone still work in Picas?
