yes, a telephoto, the fixed length will allow for a low aperture for depth of field keeping your images from looking too flat (unless that's what you're after) and the lens length will alleviate any abberations from curvature or vignetting, the minimum focal length is 3 feet so it's well suited for indoor or outdoor use, i'm not sure of the size of the products/items you plan on shooting
