Yeah, the job market is small but potent, but I give PDX the edge for proximity to outdoor lifestyle.
Mt. Hood is in your backyard for Christ sake so snowboarding can be an after work thing (they have night skiing at Meadows, and I prefer it to daylight), and if you like to windsurf or Kite Board (or want to learn), Hood River is about an hour from the city, and the capitol in this country for said sports (the gorge and wind are good pals...) as well as being a mecca for hiking, mountain bike riding and general get close to nature time.
Regardless, they both destroy my present location, Satan's Anus, AKA Saint Louis.
