Digi_Lee i will have to disagree with everything you have said there.
"designer required must know photoshop, mysql, unix and be from a print background"
if you go to any decent agency, they will not require you to do all of them skills programme and design are for two separate kinds of people.
"with a masters degree" thats rubish too, you don't need a degree in this industry, it's your portfolio and experience at the end of the day, not what degree you did.
"There are some great positions out there, you just need to know the right people." Thats just rubbish too. I came to London 5 months ago, i didn't know one single person down here and i got three job offers in one day.
my advice is instead of trying to do everything, be the best one thing.
