I suppose it's fair to say that all cities have pretentious people but in some it's easier to stear clear of it... I guess it's actually just the fashionistas everywhere in London that make me cringe...
It's pretty laid-back in A'dam, and I find it lacking pretention completely, but that could also be me not understanding the language ;)
