This is going to be part of their brand so you might need to humour them a little while they decide they have exhausted all avenues.
Just send them a list of reasons why the colour they are thinking about wont work. There are always plenty of reasons why the clients idea is shit, infact, I have never really had any really good client changes.
At the end of the day you have to give them what they want if they cant be swayed. Theres no point if having them pissed off and you pissed off, they may as well be happy with the service and you will get over it.
