clients just like anyone else in the world have egos. some want to feel like they came up with the designs or at least had some hand in them. If you take on board their comments or at least seem to they will be appeased and have no reason to criticise it.
The trick is preempting this and leaving something really obvious out, or doing something obviously wrong, they can then point it out and then you change it, everyone's happy.
