Yeah, if only that was always the case. But whilst they write the cheques, they will almost always want some input.
And until they have signed off the designs, you really can do nothing about them changing colours.
Most of the time with clients like that it is easier just to show them how ghastly their changes are, rather than wasting your time trying to explain it in advance.
