I agree with Jox.
The place that I worked where we used the client login it was for showinf work in progress, if we got extra fancy we would put up a form there to keep all comments made in a central location instead of getting email from 10 different people...
for some things like showing working wireframes of sites it is easier than email, but that's about it. Only other thing it was useful for was really big files.I did some work for a company that kept everything there in the client login - the initial quote, contact, daily updated of work performed, layouts, mockups... everything.
