hey man, thanks – that's almost it. to clarify:
If I'm in Illustrator, and I have a Katakana typeface loaded up, and I want to type the Katakana characters for "ka-ta-ka-na", are there any key-stroke cheat sheets for how to punch in "ka" etc. If any of you have banged around with Katakana typefaces on an English keyboard, you know you can generate most (all) characters with various combinations of shift, option, and English letters. So maybe shift option 'L' would give you the Japanese Katakana character for 'ra'. I'm looking for a logical way to typeset in Katakana without having to gear up with a Japanese keyboard.
