my sister was 16 when she got pregnant which was 11 years ago now.
it kinda fucked my whole family up for a while and it was tough on everyone. The positive thing was the she was born healthy and lived with my sister until my sister basically abandoned her with my parents and took off with some other dude and has had 2 more kids in the meantime.
She now lives with her real dad who finally started to get his shit together.
my parents try to do all they can for Brooke (now 11) but she definitely has some issues.
my best advice is be supportive and dont let your anger or judgment get in the way. i resented my sister for all the pain it caused the family and sadly we dont really speak anymore. its been so long that i feel we can never make right.
its all very complicated but I wish you and your family all the best in the decisions that will be made over the next few years and I hope your sister will continue with her education.
Shes in for a very changed life.
