hmm, a friend of mine is working at RGA right now as an interaction designer. She said she is not touching to anything visual, all she does is information architecture, wireframes, what happens when you press this etc. So she also said, visual designers are the ones that create the visual feeling of the site, and then there is visual/flash designers which create concepts visuals and also prototype it and then give it to technical staff to finish it. I am not sure how much you are able to push in "prototyping" but I have never understood tha fact that flash programmer is supposed to create the style and motion. it's designer's job. That's why as a designer knowing some AS would help to achieve that in my humble opinion. I am looking for such a company.
