Yeah, I am a little disappointed with the responses here too.
I only watched a little, but at least someone is doing something.
Gore - I don't think it's fair to be too critical. Sure, it'd be great if he lived in a 1000 sq. ft. house, but he's got, what, a few hundred million and is a politician (meaning tons of parties and what not).
Percentage wise, his use and expense of his worth that goes to his house is much less than yours or mine. That's a big point, I think, that the real problem is average America that thinks they need a 4000 sq. ft. home but can only affordt $500k, so they drive 2 hours to work!
Awareness - have you looked outside? SUVs and sprawl are still running rapant. Until that changes, I think it's important that more things are done to at least make these people feel guilty.
Mercedes - I'd be curious what people thought about this: Mercedes' new monster 5000+ lb SUV gets approx. 60 miles to the gallon (its deisel).
Is that "good" that it gets good gas mileage, or "bad" because it's a ton of metal, a few cows and tons of resources spent making it?
