i agree with a few comments above and was going to type the same.
your history of work shows a better standard of identity than this new one.
do you design new identities for yourself all the time?
a good logo should be something that wont be "in or out of fashion".
and if it does need to change over the years then it should be able to evolve rather than completely change.i say revisit one of your earlier ones, i like the 3D 'part of a D'. that would look nice with a good font used with it
