aye,
I guess my questions are the following, which would maybe lead you to make some decisions later on,
Why do you have this pseudo surveillance view?
Is it important that we feel that we are watching a tv screen of a recording of a man, scratching his nuts or whatever? (I guess Im just pointing out that the language of the video is that it was an archive of some thing recorded (static, the play on the top right, the monitor shape etc etc etc)
I also would have tried cutting some extreme closer to wider.
