  Thanks e-pill, that was the first thing I did. But those startup files apparently have no influence on the tools settings. Everything is always default. I mean - at least it does not work for me, does it work for you??
  Maybe I should reinstall (although I did it few weeks ago).

  Btw. I forgot to mention - the same problem occurs when using Lasso tool palette..
