I've been a fan of wrestling for about 15 years. I haven't watched it much recently as I'm more a fan of the wrestling aspect and less of the entertainment aspect (which has grown over the years).
However Benoit represented the old school mentality of great wrestling, and not talking or skits. He was always respectful of the business and industry... which is why it's so odd he has given it such a black eye. These events would seem to play a lot into what people think of pro wrestlers. It's just so not like him and everything I've heard about him (respected guy, mentor, professional)
I'll miss watching him on TV. It seems he had a lot he was hiding. Don't know why he had to take his wife and kid too, just so wrong in all ways. I believe he has other kids (not sure, maybe from a previous marriage? could be wrong), but I can't imagine what they are going through right now.
