    erm... this wont give you a fixed IP..its giving you a way to access say your hom ecomputer remotely (for file sharing, running a web site etc...but it isnt giving you a fixed IP for use in connecting to other sites.

    You need to be clearer about what you are trying to do here.. Is it inward connections, outward connections, or both?

    If a remote site is requiring specific (pre-listed) IP numbers, I don't think DYNDNS will do it, but there might be another way... (or can the remote site work with domain names rather than IP numbers?)
