a friend of mine switched from powerbook to mbp and says her hard drive failed when she moved it just after shutting the lid. unlike the pb it doesn't automatically go to sleep. rather it takes about 5 seconds more and records some data so it shouldn't be moved until it's done. you can hear the lil whirrrr when it's doing it.
they should be explicit with this kind of information .. don'tchathink?
