honestly to summarize, and/or defend the bonafide UE of the product based on if it was created my apple or MS is rediculous. we have a bit more insight into the critique that to resort to that, IMO.
Dinky- i think the item in question (as i see it) is where the state of multi-touch devices are for adaptation by a seemingly wide-spread luddite culture. now, will it work in NY/SF as a beta? probably. will it be taken to in Omaha? probably not. not that they are less-savy, but because it is not what they are use to, hence a degraded UE.
i think we will see much more multi-touch devices (iPhone clearly at forefront to consumer hands), but the durability and practical connectivity for someone will be the key issues.
