I encountered it myself: sometimes the system won't let you create bootcamp partition because the drive isn't integral. This means, the files are spread around the whole drive, despite it having enough space for a new partition.
I read a thread on this on a forum (in Polish), people explained that only accessed files got defragmented automatically, they also have to be below 20mb of size.
http://macslash.org/article.pl?s…They also suggested some software that ie. shortened OS startup by 1/3.
One was http://www.coriolis-systems.com/…
another one..
http://www.prosofteng.com/produc…I was wondering if there was any free software available
