    When a media strategy is well planned and the positioning is on sites that pertain to you , you're more likely to click.

    Look at product placement in movies and television. Simon Cowell drinks from a coca-cola cup on american idol, people dont run and buy coke when they see him drink it or even when they see a coke commercial.

    What i'm getting at is even though a small percentage of people click banners and that is the main goal, in the grand scheme of things it is a branding opportunity, and with the right placement it is effective.
