Yes it can be done, although whether your hardware will support it is another matter. You need a SSE2 processor at least SSE3 is better. Only a hand full of video cards are supported, even less sound cards, some wifi (mostly rt2500 based stuff) and a few other bits and pieces. I've heard very good things about it though. From people that have spent a while getting it working though.
