"When did Britpop Officially Die - or - when did late 20somethings finally get tired of semi-angst-ridden pub music, realise they weren't bloody students anymore, that they had bought all the 'good' records that this half-assed mini-genre was ever going to spew out, and finally resign themselves to a slow death crawling up the IT/accounting/sales department ladder in the Brighton branch of a tedious multinational, occasionally cheating on their rapidly shriveling, over-shopping, similarly unhappy girlfriend/wife, who, ironically would claim CDs of such ilk in their tawdry and inevitable break-up, leaving them to scan the pages of iTunes to reamass the rather sparse collection of mediocre Glaston-durge which represents the last time they really felt vaguely happy or free."....
