better not use transparency.
pick the (PMS) color you need, and just adjust the shade of it (0-100%), so with dark blue it would be 100% dark blue, 60% is blue, 30% light blue, 0% white (no color/ papercolor),,hope that helps... if I am being vague it is due to the fact I had 6 wines and 4 beers.
