Finally bcline is one who is talking some sense....

I do think that Flash shouldn't be used to just hoist in loads of video, the web should be a 'lean forward' medium, not a 'sit back'... If I want to do that I'd just watch television.

The user should be the conductor of a website, not click on a link and have a 10 second transition to another piece of video, which when they go back plays the transition backwards.

You can do pretty much anything in flash, but people are either to lazy, unskilled, unimagintive or put upon by their project manager / client etc.

Group94 are probably a fine example where they have the process right, as it doesn't just take a good flash designer to produce the stuff they do, they fully understand the medium.

You know a master of the medium when they do do something that is left of centre and make it look effortless, which does bring me back to the FWA, in that I agree some of the stuff of there is marketing rather than inspiration. But could you find a site every day that blew the previous day away? Can you think of more than half a dozen sites, that you really really like?

Rob at FWA does a sterling job, so don't just slag him off in that way, unless you understand the processes he has to go through to get that site to you everyday. Yes, that site that doesn't cost you any money.
