I'm not sure what to think either. I do know that I hate it when people use lazy smear campaigns, and sign a petition or something, thinking that they've done something to make a difference. "oh I've signed my name in support of such and such. now my conscience is clear!" And when celebrities attach themselves to a cause just for a photo op - then go right back to their life of excess.
It seems there's the "commercial seal hunt" in the south (Newfoundland and St. Lawrence area), which I'm unsure about - and the issue of native hunting rights - which I think gets mixed up with everything and misunderstood.
