    I have a 5.1 system and to be honest the whole surround sound thing is a bit over rated. I chose Wharfedale Diamond 8 series speakers all round and a big sony amp as it fitted my budget

    If I did it again I would chose a straight stereo setup with a nice high current amp only and buy better gear.

    B&W 603 floor standing speakers x 2 and a cambridge audio amp is what I'm am currently leaning towards the most.
