    The short answer:
    It's all bullshit when you're working on a sunny day or wearing a funky t-shirt.

    The long answer:
    Eventhough it does make some sense to callibrate, i still find it's pretty useless when it comes to actually getting results. You still need to use a pantone book; and even then you never know what they'll do at the print shop while gang-printing your project.

    So, it's all very subjective.

    I have a LaCie319 and it came with a calibrator... i spent $1,200 on the whole set up, but i feel now it's a waste. Really. Eventhough i can callibrate the shit out of the monitor, adjust it to different light temperatures, etc...
