I've got a wacom intuos at home and i wouldn't be without it. for one its just a good replacement for the mouse. second the pressure pad of the tablet is great for photoshop, flash and any prog you like.
mines an A6 size and i wouldn't go any lower, its just too small. if pos get one A4(lots cash and desk place needed though!)
its a lot easier to use a pen!!
get one!
