its all abotu dont ask.. dont tell.
just dont go around tlaking about what youre doing and no one will know and there will be no problems. if you go tell your boss about the great job your just scored.. youre through.
the contract is just a way to scare you into not working on the side. most companies make you sign one. if you do and they find out about it... then they can legally fire you if you dont work in an at will state. thats all it is. so keep your trap shut :)
