this thread reminded me of a conversation i had with a guy at a little brewry in northern virginia.
him: "do you homebrew?"
me: "nah. anheuser busch has a multi-million dollar annual budget and they can't make a decent beer. i'm not so arrogant as to think i'll do better in my kitchen."
him: "if you like beer, good beer, then you HAVE to brew your own. you'll be amazed at the results."
the dude was on target. some of the best beer i've tasted was brewed by ordinary folks at their house.
