i deal with it by gettin gear. got some nice polypropylene, good long underwear. i wear plastic shelled coats to block the wind and trap in da heat. furthermore, i dig long walks in the wilderness. odd yes, but moving around warms up da body. why would i brave the cold? idiocracy? maybe, but noone else is out there and it is really quiet.
next winter i want to get up to voyageurs national park in the northern part of the state (minnesota). it sounds like that is a really great time to star-gaze and hear timberwolves (and no, they won't attack).
i gotta do something other than play vids and get cabin fever. i went on a hike saturday and watched the mist rise off of the mississippi. got some good photos too.
