did you try and trash your prefs? that usually solves it. i had the same sort of thing except it changed my default font to fucking helvetica fractions?! couldn't read a damn thing on any page.
i got to vent for a hot minute and say i am fed up with macs! mine totally crapped out on me today and i had a ton of stuff to get done today. i had to intrude into a friends cube setup all damn day! seriously sucked! but back to you :)
